It is a bit difficult for people understanding the real meaning of winning a Championship, but rider..

It is a bit difficult for people understanding the real meaning of winning a Championship, but riders know it very well. It is not only a matter of coming back home with a trophy or a medal, despite its value is priceless, it is something more: the passion, the commitment, the efforts done throughout an entire racing season can be finally awarded. Only riders and teams know the big job and how many things have been going on behind the scenes; for sure French GP winner Adrien Chareyre, second and third classified Mauno Hermunen and Ivan Lazzarini will have a smile on their face for being the three top racers of the seasonal final Grand Prix which awarded Adrien with his fourth World Title, Thomas Chareyre – ending his GP at Race 2 with a shoulder injury- with the runner up spot and Ivan Lazzarini with the third place. For sure the Chareyre name is going to be well remembered in the years in the SuperMoto world as it does not happen often that two brothers have such a high level of preparation and today they showed it one more time. After taking the best time of 1:06.377 in yesterday's qualifying session, TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre did not secure the Superpole for today's opening race as it went to Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre. The latter was really impressive in the first moto as he immediately opened up a gap over rivals and triumphed after being the solitary leader of the race. While the French racer was pulling away, Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen tried to run in second chased by HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini but while the two were on the gas seeking the runner up spot, 2010 World Champ Thomas Chareyre overcame both of them in the main straight eventually taking the chequered flag in second and the top three was rounded off by the Finnish on board his Husqvarna. The intermediate race was featured by two bad crashes, one in the opening laps when Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia fell and broke his shoulder blade and one right before the end, whose protagonist was Thomas Chareyre, but let's take a look at the whole Race 2. As the red lights went off Adrien Chareyre lead his factory Aprilia at the front and initially the gap over his main pursuer, Thomas Chareyre, was not too big. Adrien started increasing his speed and managed to go away from his younger brother but lap by lap the TM Factory Racing challenger was getting closer and closer until when he grasped the lead of the race. Fast Wheels ASD racer had no intention of missing the victory so he tried to overcome once again his main rival for the title; unfortunately the duo got a contact and Thomas crashed injuring his left shoulder and soon after the session went to the hospital. So that Race 2 was won by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre, who was really sorry for what happened to his brother, Thomas Chareyre finished in second and the third spot went once again to Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen. The final race of the weekend was a funny finale. Finnish Mauno Hermunen was the favorite to take the victory as he imposed his pace over rivals at the start of the race but Adrien Chareyre immediately took back the lead to pass it back to the Finnish some laps later. With just one lap to go Mauno Hermunen was passing under the Golden Tyre bridge thinking the session was over so his winning stand up cost him the victory which went to an astonished Ivan Lazzarini, Hermunen was second and Adrien Chareyre third. The podium of the Grand Prix of France saw winning home hero Adrien Chareyre joined by Mauno Hermunen and Ivan Lazzarini while other racers who drew the attention today were TDS Faor Uros Nastran and KTM 747 Motorsport Alexis Marie Luce taking the fourth and fifth place, Thomas Chareyre was sixth followed by SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley, local rider Romain Faivre, Rigo Racing Andrea Occhini and Pergetti Racing Elia Sammartin completing the top ten. Eventually the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship was won by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre, who took his fourth World Title, Thomas Chareyre was second and could not confirm himself World Champ for the second consecutive year, Ivan Lazzarini came back home with a solid third place. Mauno Hermunen, Alexis Marie Luce, Uros Nastran and Matthew Winstanley ended the season with the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh place while Christian Ravaglia, Massimo Beltrami and Elia Sammartin rounded off the top ten. S1 Race 1 top ten: 1.

France and its fans could not have welcomed the SuperMoto paddock in a better way than the one reserved to the protagonists of the sixth and final appointment of this year's FIM World Championship . Qualifying today were once again the first test to pass in order to be at the front on the great day and the dominant protagonist of them was French Thomas Chareyre, the 2010 World Champ and current series leader, who will obviously try to rule his home Grand Prix to be the star of the World Championship. Despite the best time of 1:06.377, the French leader will not have an easy ride as his brother, 3 time World Champ, Adrien Chareyre is adopting a constant and solid strategy which provided him with today's second fastest time. Ivan Lazzarini did good too with the third spot in the time sheets, while Mauno Hermunen completed the top four. The Italian leader of the UEM European Series, Freccia Team Teo Monticelli, clinched the second best time this afternoon finishing behind rival Pavel Kejmar who took the time of 1:08.273. Third classified was another Italian, KTM 747 Motorsport Alessandro Tognaccini and tomorrow the trio will be on gas trying to come home with the best result for the season gran finale. Today's result grasped by TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre was not completely unexpected; being one of the strongest home riders can definitely be an advantage when many of your rivals do not feel that confident on a track that is hosting a SuperMoto GP for its first time after having been the scenery of the SuperMoto of Nations last year. Courtesy of the fastest time of 1:06.377, the youngest and talented representative of the Chareyre family collected the best achievement ever so after taking this promising first step in the qualifying, tomorrow we will see him putting all his energy in the Superpole battle as well as in the 3 Races. Adrien Chareyre of the Fast Wheels ASD Team is in a strong position too thanks to the second best time and looked very quick on the French track of Cahors also being on the highest speed for some time of the session but eventually ending the day one step far from the head of the time sheets. Adrien will be battling it out with Thomas for the victory of this GP and the Championship as he is in second in the standings, 10 points off his brother. HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini, third at the end of the day, will have to keep an eye on what happens in front of him and no doubt about the fact that he will push hard to stay in the top three doing his best to confirm the same position he is detaining in the standings. Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen lost the top three but will be in battling it out for the Superpole tomorrow as he was the fourth fastest rider of the day and classified in front of another talented French racer, Luc 1 Sylvain Bidart, and TDS Faor Uros Nastran author of the sixth best time. The top ten was completed by KTM 747 Motorsport Alexis Marie Luce, a young rider with a bright future in front of him, compatriot Romain Faivre, Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia and Portimão GP winner SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley. TDS Faor Massimo Beltrami, SBD Union Bike Racing Giovanni Bussei, Karanyotov Motorsport Angel Karanyotov and Pergetti Racing Elia Sammartin are the names of some Superiders who missed out the top ten after working hard on the set up of their bikes but not enough to be among the first ten, in any case their qualifying performances were not too bad and tomorrow they will surely try to make up ground. S1 Qualifying top ten: 1. Thomas Chareyre (FRA, TM), 1:06.377; 2. Adrien Chareyre (FRA, Aprilia), +0:00.065; 3. Ivan Lazzarini (ITA, Honda), +0:00.328; 4. Mauno Hermunen (FIN, Husqvarna), +0:00.668; 5. Sylvain Bidart (FRA, Honda), +0:00.840; 6. Uros Nastran (SLO, Honda), +0:00.973; 7. Alexis Marie Luce (FRA, KTM), +0:00.993; 8. Romain Faivre (FRA, KTM), +0:01.115; 9. Christian Ravaglia (ITA, Suzuki), +0:01.182; 10. Matthew Winstanley (GBR, Honda), +0:01.340.

The SuperMoto paddock has been travelling a lot since the end of September: first it settled in Portugal, Portimão, on the September 25th weekend for the penultimate GP to head east later on and reach the Spanish track of Alcañiz, scene of the FIM SuperMoto of Nations on Saturday and Sunday October 1st and 2nd.

Another great event is about to kick off, and despite each Grand Prix is one of a kind, this time we can state it is going to be the key appointment of the season as the Grand Prix of France will crown the emperors of the World Championship as well as of the European Series.

This year has been pretty peculiar as there has not been a single rider able to mount on the highest step of podium at all the 5 GPs disputed so far. Basically 4 racers have been really constant and often entered in the top 3 or slightly missed it: Thomas Chareyre, Mauno Hermunen, Adrien Chareyre and Ivan Lazzarini. The Italian opening round was a fantastic weekend with extraordinary results for victorious TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre, Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen and HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini but the Busca race winner could not collect such a success in Bulgaria where he was 4th with Finnish rival snatching him the leadership and winning the GP joined by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre and Italian Ivan Lazzarini.

The mid-season appointment was signed by the Grand Prix of Andorra and was featured by nasty weather conditions which did not affect the performance of the oldest of the Chareyre duo, Adrien, solitary leader of the race day. The French ace shared the podium with his brother Thomas and with PMR H2O Thierry Van Den Bosch. The latter conquered his one and only seasonal podium as an accident sustained during a training prevented him from taking part in the other GPs and his campaign came to a premature end. After turning another page of the calendar, the SuperMoto paddock faced the GP of Sicily and fans saw one more time the Chareyre family, Thomas and Adrien, occupying the 1st and 2nd positions with Ivan Lazzarini in 3rd and the French duo was always there at the front even in Portimão but this time they rounded off the podium and shook SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley's hand for grasping the victory and demonstrating his inner potential.

At the moment the series leader is French Thomas Chareyre thanks to his 318 points but Adrien Chareyre is not that far with 308 points. Ivan Lazzarini is in 3rd but can count on a 16 point gap dividing him from 4th classified Mauno Hermunen.

All riders taking part in the FIM World Championship have high levels of preparation and throughout the season many of them gave proof of their talent: the young promise of the KTM 747 Motorsport Team Alexis Marie Luce, 2010 European Champ Uros Nastran of TDS Faor, Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia, and many others. Between the unlucky protagonists of the 2011 season there is not only Thierry Van Den Bosch but also Marie Luce team mate Davide Gozzini, who is still recovering after undergoing a surgery at his right wrist.

In the UEM European Championship Freccia Team Teo Monticelli is determined to finish the campaign in the best way ever and will try to consolidate the leadership he is detaining at the moment, with a 59 point advantage over Czech Pavel Kejmar while KTM 747 Motorsport Alessandro Tognaccini completes the top three.

Cahors and its circuit already hosted the SuperMoto paddock last year as the French track was the scene of the SuperMoto of Nations. This weekend the 1550 meter long circuit will see riders battling it out for the season gran finale as only three of them will come home with the trophies of the World and European Championships.

In fact at the end of the racing weekend there will be the appointment with the Youthstream SuperMoto Awards to crown not only the S1 World Champ and UEM Champ but also the S1 Manufacturer World Champion and the top three UEM Champions going to attend the 2012 S1 racing season.

No doubts about it, the 2011 SuperMoto Grand Prix of Portugal will be well remembered as one of the most thrilling and exciting races in the 2011 campaign. The key player of the 5th seasonal appointment with the FIM SuperMoto World Championship was Matthew Winstanley, the strongest and most surprising racer of the Portuguese GP who opened up the gap enough to relegate Thomas and Adrien Chareyre in 2nd and 3rd position. This Sunday was a really special day for SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley, who fought his way from the start till the end of the races seeking his well deserved first GP victory. The Grand Prix classification saw the English racer surrounded by the Chareyre family with Thomas occupying the runner up spot at the end of the day and Adrien in 3rd position. The incredible riding style of the Englishman was absolutely astonishing as he showed such a perfect confidence while facing all the 3 races despite there were not too many reference points being the first time the SuperMoto stars played in this track, so that is why even rivals were stopping to stare at the SHR Racing talent putting in an utterly amazing performance. In the Opening heat of the GP Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre lead the way starting from the Superpole. The Frenchman was initially chased by Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen but as the Finnish crashed Matthew Winstanley took his place and opened up the gas. Starting from the 5th lap the layout settled with Adrien Chareyre leader of the pack, Thomas 2nd and Matthew Winstanley completing the top three. The strong trio won Race 1 in the order and with this solid result SHR Racing Winstanley started thinking that he could have truly battled it out for the Portuguese GP title. Superiders were thrilled for moto number two with Adrien and Thomas Chareyre trying to take possession of the lead. The strong will of the two brothers damaged their start as they got a contact and Fast Wheels ASD French star ran wide obliged to start again from the back of the group. TM Factory Racing French king Thomas Chareyre faced an unhappy moment too crashing, but immediately looked forward his recovery. While the French duo was studying a strategy to reach the front riders, SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley was enjoying Race 2 putting in a brilliant performance. The English challenger was the first to take the chequered flag and finished in front of HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini and TDS Faor Uros Nastran, 2nd and 3rd in the intermediate session. Race 3 had a completely French taste but different starts for the Chareyre duo. TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre perfectly knew there was no time to waste so did not think twice before riding his bike from the 5th place of the starting grid to the 1st spot and stayed focused till when the heat was over. Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre crashed while he was entering in the off-road section but he was so determined that he brilliantly worked his way up and classified in 2nd position, behind Thomas, while Matthew Winstanley took it easy knowing that even the 3rd spot was going to guarantee him the GP victory. The day went smoothly also for Italian Ivan Lazzarini who slightly missed the podium finishing in 4th and Mauno Hermunen, who rounded off the top five. The 6th, 7th and 8th places were clinched by Uros Nastran, KTM 747 Motorsport Alexis Marie Luce and Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia. The final two places of the top ten were grasped by Racing Team Pergetti Elia Sammartin and TDS Faor Rafael Fonseca. It was a tough race at the very end for local racer Nuno Miguel Lopes Pinto of Flor Do Campo Motodreams Team as he finished in 18th but he really appreciated the chance he had to experience the World campaign. The lead in the Championship standings always belongs to red plate holder Thomas Chareyre. Matthew Winstanley moved from the 12th to the 8th spot entering n the top ten. Uros Nastran stole the 6th position to PMR H20 Thierry Van Den Bosch who is now in 9th, in front of SBD Union Bike Racing Giovanni Bussei who lost one spot too. S1 Race 1 top ten: 1.
The Portuguese kart circuit of Portimão, which lies right at the side of the Superbike World Champio..

The Portuguese kart circuit of Portimão, which lies right at the side of the Superbike World Championship legendary venue, opened its gates to welcome the SuperMoto paddock for the fifth seasonal appointment: the Grand Prix of Portugal. Morale is really high among riders and Teams as this is the very first time they play in Portugal and their impression of the location is nothing but excellent.

In the S1 category Adrien Chareyre's Aprilia machinery led the way during today's qualifying so thanks to the time of 1:25.958 the Frenchman set a new SuperMoto circuit record. The first day of action at the International Circuit of Algarve also saw Thomas Chareyre, Ivan Lazzarini and Mauno Hermunen clinching respectively the 2nd, 3rd and 4th fastest times.

Pavel Kejmar came to the fore in the Open class courtesy of his best time of 1:27.350 but even Teo Monticelli, Petr Vorlicek and Thomas Gory were quicker enough to finish behind the Czech leader in the time sheets and completed the top four.

S1

The Portimão venue is a real thrilling circuit where the bikes' set-up is very important but at the same time each racer can make the difference while facing its twisting layout featured by many right hand corners. Due to its technical stamp, the Portuguese circuit that lies in the beautiful Algarve Region, allows each rider to express his riding style at maximum.

Despite Superiders were on their first visit to the track they enjoyed the discovery of this new location and Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre stamped his authority in today's qualifying session through the time of 1:25.958. Another man to watch during the time practice was the reigning World Champ Thomas Chareyre member of the TM Factory Racing Team, who powered to a time of 1 minute 25.970 seconds and finished in 2nd in front of HM Honda Racing and 2011 SuperMoto Italian Champion Ivan Lazzarini as well as Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen, author of the 4th best time. Tomorrow, Superpole will be contended among these four riders who seem to be the most competitive here in Portugal so far.

SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley was constant with his Honda and followed the top racers to finish with a promising 5th place; it was a bright day for Honda motorcycles as TDS Faor Uros Nastran as well as SBD Union Bike Racing Giovanni Bussei, both of them using Honda bikes, reached the 6th and 7th positions. Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia crashed throughout the session but without getting injured so on Sunday he will pay more attention and will take advantage from today's 8th fastest time. The 9th and 10th positions went to KTM 747 Motorsport Alexis Marie Luce and Racing Team Pergetti Elia Sammartin. The latter was pretty satisfied at the end of the day, as he finally entered in the top ten after slightly missing it at the past GPs.

Marie Luce's team mate Davide Gozzini and PMR H2O Thierry Van Den Bosch could not test the new Portuguese circuit as they are both recovering from two surgeries but will do their best to be in for the final round of the 2011 campaign to take place in Cahors, France, on the October 23rd weekend.

The fifth seasonal Grand Prix is a great chance for local rider Nuno Miguel Lopes Pinto of Flor Do Campo Motodreams Team to join Superiders and despite his off-color performance he will push harder during the race to recover.

Tomorrow everything will depend of the race riders will be in, only those who will try to get the best out of it will be on the podium.

S1 Qualifying top ten: 1. Adrien Chareyre (FRA, Aprilia), 1:25.958; 2. Thomas Chareyre (FRA, TM), +0:00.012; 3. Ivan Lazzarini (ITA, Honda), +0:00.331; 4. Mauno Hermunen (FIN, Husqvarna), +0:00.473; 5. Matthew Winstanley (GBR, Honda), +0:00.970; 6. Uros Nastran (SLO, Honda), +0:01.051; 7. Giovanni Bussei (ITA, Honda), +0:01.093; 8. Christian Ravaglia (ITA, Suzuki), +0:01.380; 9. Alexis Marie Luce (FRA, KTM), +0:01.420; 10. Elia Sammartin (ITA, Suzuki), +0:01.625

This exciting SuperMoto racing season is coming to its end and the penultimate round of the calendar..

This exciting SuperMoto racing season is coming to its end and the penultimate round of the calendar will be disputed in Portimão, at the International Circuit of Algarve, during the last weekend of September. The Grand Prix of Portugal is definitely one of the calendar's newest additions so Superiders will be eager to discover new set-ups and find out how their machineries perform in this new and twisting circuit.

Racers and Teams' personnel are looking ahead to this unpredictable challenge, very motivated to do their best and come home with satisfying results. TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre wants to be the "French King" of the World Championship and will stay focused to study each corner of the new track since the very first day of action. The defending World Champ perfectly knows he is hunted by his brother Adrien, member of the Fast Wheels ASD Team, who gained the runner up spot in the standings after the brilliant performance of the Sicilian round. While Thomas is detaining the lead after winning the Grand Prix of Italy and classifying in 4th and 2nd position in Bulgaria and Andorra to be back on the first step of the podium in Sicily, his older brother Adrien began the season with a solid 7th position and started making up ground at the Bulgarian round with the 2nd place and the GP victory in Andorra. Adrien Chareyre carried on his mission and the runner spot clinched at the Sicilian appointment was enough to steal Mauno Hermunen the second place in the standings and relegate him to 4th position. HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini seems to have found a perfect rhythm and apart from the GP of Andorra, where he lost one position, he always detained the 3rd place in the point standings as he is doing now.

The 2011 campaign saw a couple of talented riders leaving the scene for a while like the Vice World Champ of the KTM 747 Motorsport squad Davide Gozzini, who underwent a surgery at his right wrist, and PMR H2O Thierry Van Den Bosch 6th in the Championship, who crashed during a training right before the Grand Prix of Sicily. The two aces will not be on the track in Portimão but leading riders will have many other rivals to fear: Mauno Hermunen, 4th in the standings with the Factory Husqvarna Team, KTM 747 Motorsport Alexis Marie Luce 5th, Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia 7th, TDS Faor Uros Nastran 8th, SBD Union Bike Racing Giovanni Bussei 9th and Nastran's team mate Massimo Beltrami 10th.

The leader of the UEM European series, Teo Monticelli of the Freccia Team, is living his dream and after watching team mate Massimiliano Porfiri winning the opening Italian Grand Prix decided to rule the scene so he grasped 3 triumphs out of 4: Bulgaria, Andorra and Sicily. The Italian young leader greatly withstood the intense pressure from various rivals such as KTM 747 Motorsport Alessandro Tognaccini, 2nd in the standings and team mate Massimiliano Porfiri, 3rd, but there is also an unpredictable Czech duo made up by Pavel Kejmar and Tuning Sport Petr Vorlicek who is not too far from the top three.

A warm welcome is guaranteed on Saturday and Sunday September 24th and 25th when we will see Superiders facing the Portuguese GP, racing on the 1.550 meters long circuit and its 170 meters long sky section, a track that tests everyone to the limit.

New location, new circuit..a new adventure.

August could not have been any hotter this year, in fact the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship and UEM European Championship will rule the racing scene of the late summer.

On the August 28th weekend Superiders will compete to grab the title of the Grand Prix of Sicily, and this will be a second chance for those who already attended the race last season. In fact the International circuit of Triscina-Castelvetrano will be the scenery of the World and European Championships for the second consecutive year after the 2010 success and spectators will stare at riders put to hard test by the technical Sicilian track.

The Championship standings saw many exhilarating switches in positions between the two fellows who led them so far: TM Factory Racing Thomas Chareyre and Husqvarna Factory Mauno Hermunen. The triumph reached at Busca on April 3rd allowed the defending World Champion, Thomas Chareyre, to be the very first leader of the 2011 campaign but despite his great shape and potential he had to take one step back and watch his main rival, Finnish Hermunen, moving at the head of the standings after he secured the second consecutive victory of the Bulgarian GP in Pleven on May 29th. The mid-season appointment arrived on July 3rd and with it another big twist: none of the two won the GP of Andorra but Thomas Chareyre did better than Hermunen and this was enough for him to gain back the top spot.

At the moment the top three is rounded off by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre, who worked his way up in the standings and the victory taken in Pas de la Casa was crucial for him to move in third position. HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini dropped to the fourth place chased by PMR H2O Thierry Van Den Bosch and KTM 747 Motorsport promising French Alexis Marie Luce. Seventh, eighth and ninth positions are detained respectively by an Italian trio: Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia, SBD Union Bike Giovanni Bussei and TDS Faor Massimo Beltrami. The top ten is rounded off by Sylvain Bidart and the Luc 1 Honda Team.

In the Open class, the Freccia Team racer Teo Monticelli feels good being the leader of the European Series and despite many rivals are looking forward the top spot, the young rider is managing well his 28-point advantage over KTM 747 Motorsport Alessandro Tognaccini, second in the point standings, and over team mate Massimiliano Porfiri, who is in third.

The location of the World and European Championships fourth appointment will be the 1.630 meter long and renewed International circuit of Triscina, which lies in the south-western coast of Sicily and this makes it the most southerly Italian circuit.

Last season the protagonists of the event hosted in the beautiful Mediterranean location were Triscina-race winner KTM 747 Motorsport Davide Gozzini, Thierry Van Den Bosch of the PMR H2O Team and Rigo Racing Andrea Occhini. With Gozzini forced to sit out the event due to the recent surgery at his right wrist, and with French VDB missing the event as he got injured while he was training, it will be really intriguing seeing who will clinch the Sicilian title this year.

Before watching Superiders sliding on the tarmac of the Triscina circuit, the major and some of the main politicians of Triscina and Castelvetrano will welcome the protagonists of the 2011 campaign on Thursday August 25th at 9:00pm in the ancient square of Triscina. The appointment will also have a special taste and sound as those present could taste the typical products of the Sicilian gastronomic tradition enjoying live and folkloristic music.

Surprises are not over yet, during the racing weekend spectators will also enjoy the action offered by the GoldenTyre Trophy, that will be disputed at the same time of the GP of Sicily with the qualifying on Saturday and two heats on Sunday; winners will get a considerable price money.

The third appointment with the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship was disputed in a sunny day beg..

The third appointment with the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship was disputed in a sunny day begun with a very strong wind that obliged the event management to postpone the warm up session and to cancel the Superpole. Despite this unexpected modification of the schedule, the Chareyre brothers were victorious, in fact Adrien starred at the Pas de la Casa circuit by grasping his first GP victory of the season and Thomas was second. The all French podium was rounded off by Thierry Van Den Bosch. In the Open class Teo Monticelli imposed his rhythm over the other racers despite he crashed right before the end of the final race. The Italian challenger mounted on the podium together with team mate Massimiliano Porfiri and Anthony Ford-Dunn. S1
The S1 category had to surrender to the strength of the Fast Wheels ASD French rider who led his Team to the victory of the Grand Prix of Andorra and came back home really satisfied with the results grasped throughout the whole weekend. Adrien Chareyre faced two perfect days which began with the fastest time of 00:50.828 grasped in Saturday's time practice. Today, after starting from the Superpole he pulled away in all the races and his solid performance allowed him to be the first to take the three chequered flags. The oldest of the Chareyre brothers did not struggle too much with rivals as there was always at least one second dividing him from his pursuers: only Thomas was able to race staying close to him as the other main chaser of Adrien was Thierry Van Den Bosch but between the two there was a 3 second gap. Adrien gained one position in the Championship standings as he stole the third spot to HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini. This racing weekend was a good one as well as for the other member of the Chareyre duo, Thomas, who made the TM Factory Racing Team proud of him. After being second in the qualifying, in today's opening race Thomas struggled with the Husqvarna Factory Finnish Mauno Hermunen and snatched him the second spot. Race 2 was a little bit more difficult for him due to a contact with Thierry Van Den Bosch at the entrance of the sky section but he greatly worked his way up and he finished the intermediate race in fourth. The TM Factory Racing member was not so lucky in the final moto as he found himself in seventh position in the first lap but never gave up till when he reached the finish line in second. Thanks to the well deserved runner up spot, Thomas is back at the top of the standings while Mauno Hermunen lost one position and is second. Now the top three is spread in four points only. The other star of this thrilling Grand Prix of Andorra was another French contender, Thierry Van Den Bosch of the PMR H2O Team, who battled it out with Ivan Lazzarini for the fourth spot in Race 1 and his constant pace secured him the second spot in the next one. Thierry completed the third heat in third so that he rounded off the GP of Andorra podium and strengthened his fifth position in the Championship. The three top riders came in front of Mauno Hermunen and Ivan Lazzarini who were respectively fourth and fifth, chased by Luc 1 Sylvain Bidart who grasped a solid result at the Grandvalira track. The French rider of the KTM 747 Motorsport, Alexis Marie Luce, did his best and grasped the seventh position, followed by SBD Union Bike Giovanni Bussei and Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia.

Nothing and nobody could prevent the strong Chareyre duo from ruling the Grand Prix of Andorra's time practice. Today Superiders got to the Pas de la Casa circuit looking forward the head of the timesheets but only 4 of them were fast enough. Adrien Chareyre was the author of the amazing time of 00:50.828 and tomorrow he will battle it out for the Superpole with his younger brother Thomas, Mauno Hermunen and Thierry Van Den Bosch. The SuperMoto World Championship already reached its mid-season point, and this time the fantastic location of the 2011 campaign is the Pas de la Casa circuit, a demanding and fast circuit that lies more than 2.000 meters up the Pyrenees. The Grand Prix of Andorra first day of action saw a stunning Adrien Chareyre seeking the best result ever in order to be the only protagonist of this sunny day and he definitely succeeded. The French rider of the Fast Wheels ASD Team topped the two free practice sessions and finally rode his Aprilia till the head of the timesheets courtesy of his best time of 00:50.828. The French challenger was chased by his brother, Thomas, who pushed hard for the whole session but despite he was in great shape he had to feel satisfied with the second best time. The TM Factory racing rider will take advantage of every second to stay in front of today's third classified and current series leader, Husqvarna Factory Finnish Mauno Hermunen, and of course he will try to recover the leadership. PMR H20 Thierry Van Den Bosch looks determined to improve the fourth fastest time he set in the time practice and tomorrow he will be chased by HM Honda Racing Ivan Lazzarini, the French of the Luc 1 Team Sylvain Bidart and Matt Winstanley of the SHR Team. The three were respectively fifth, sixth and seventh. The eighth position was grasped by the only KTM 747 Motorsport rider attending the GP, Alexis Marie Luce, as team mate Davide Gozzini injured his right wrist tendon at the Busca appointment with the Italian Championship two weeks ago. The top ten was rounded off by TDS Faor Slovenian rider Uros Nastran and the Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Christian Ravaglia. S1 Qualifying top ten: 1. Adrien Chareyre (FRA, Aprilia), 0:50.828; 2. Thomas Chareyre (FRA, TM), +0:00.092; 3. Mauno Hermunen (FIN, Husqvarna), +0:00.199; 4. Thierry Van Den Bosch (FRA, Aprilia), +0:00.553; 5.
After visiting the beautiful countries of Italy and Bulgaria, this weekend the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship and UEM SuperMoto European Championship will hit Andorra, where fans will fill up the paddock of the Pas de la Casa circuit on Saturday and Sunday July 2nd and 3rd.

The coming weekend will be a decisive date for Superiders who will face the third Grand Prix of the breathtaking 2011 campaign. It will be a very delicate moment as it will represent the mid season appointment, so front runners will have to play their cards right to strengthen their positions in the Championship standings and they will do their best to open up unassailable gaps over pursuers.

Nothing is decided yet and each GP was featured by exciting battles and unexpected twists in the standings. Taking an overlook at the situation so far, after classifying in 2nd at the Italian GP, Finnish Mauno Hermunen of the Factory Husqvarna Team rode his bike till the first step of the Bulgarian podium and stole the red plate to defending World Champion, TM Factory Racing French Thomas Chareyre. The latter lost the leadership he grasped at the opening round, where he clinched the overall victory, as he finished in fourth in Pleven but we will definitely see him arriving in Pas de la Casa seeking the revenge. The HM Honda Racing ace, Ivan Lazzarini, is detaining the third spot courtesy of two great third positions taken in Busca and Pleven and is chased by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre, who was seventh in Italy and second in Bulgaria. The PMR H2O Team challenger Thierry Van Den Bosch is fifth, while the KTM 747 Motorsport youngest member, Alexis Marie Luce, is occupying the sixth position followed by team mate and veteran Davide Gozzini. The eighth position belongs to Christian Ravaglia and the Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Team, while defending SuperMoto European Champion of the TDS Faor Team, Uros Nastran, is in ninth chased by SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley.

Andorra and its citizens are proud to host again the SuperMoto show after one year of absence, as the last GP disputed in the Principality was in 2009. In that occasion the riders who secured the podium were once again astonishing Thomas Chareyre and Mauno Hermunen, joined by third classified Thierry Van Den Bosch. The Grand Prix of Andorra background will be amazing. The 980 meters circuit of Pas de la Casa is surrounded by the Pyrenees and lies 2408 meters above sea level so it is possible enjoying some of the most beautiful landscapes of the area.

Everything could happen the coming weekend at Pas de la Casa, who knows if the layout of the podium will be the same as 2009 or it will change?

It is better keeping the eyes wide open to see another great SuperMoto show!

Pellicari team rider Julien Bill got pole-position for tomorrow's FIM MX3 World Championship round o..

Pellicari team rider Julien Bill got pole-position for tomorrow's FIM MX3 World Championship round of Senkvice, Slovakia. The Swiss and French UFO-Racing team rider Milko Potisek were actually the only ones breaking into the same second such was the pace carried by the Honda mounted riders. Bill started the day with only the eighth time on the first free-practice session but got to grips with the track right on the second outing climbing to 2nd position. Potisek was fastest on the first session showing why Senkvice is his favourite track. They weren't alone though; Fusion-Racing team rider Michael Staufer and Antii Pyrhonen were right behind, third and fourth respectively, and will get the chance to verify if they can go along with the first two on tomorrow's race. R.S.C. Italia Corse Orion RS Petrol team rider Martin Michek, who was first on the second free-practice, showed how a strong candidate to the podium he can be as the fast tracks are also of his preference. Julien Bill: "Today was good, I had a good feeling on my bike and I was feeling good. The only bad point for me is that the track is too fast and very easy, there's only one line so it's going to be really difficult to pass, so I'm just not happy about the preparation of the track but it will be the same for everybody. It's fun to ride but it's fast and flat with no lines so everybody is doing the same on the track. I hope to have a good start tomorrow, we changed some stuff on the bike, let's see how it goes." Milko Potisek: "I really feel good on this track; it's my favourite. I'll try and give my best on the race and have fun at the same to keep the crowd happy; it's part of what we do here." Michael Staufer: "I live in Vienna, Austria, which is very close to here so I feel like this could be my 'home' round as it is the closest I can get. I already did four races here and for this track my KTM is just perfect. The track can be too fast at times but I like it this way, it's like many others in Slovakia and Czech Republic. I'm pretty happy with my third place in qualifying; beating the local guys (laughs) because I know them and how hard they fight when in their home country." Antii Pyrhonen:"The racing tomorrow will be so tough with so many little stones projected to the arms; I really need to be at the front tomorrow if I don't want to get that. It's going to be very demanding if I'm behind them because everybody goes so fast here so the differences become very small because of that." Martin Michek: "I feel good on this track; I like it with fast corners and with these jumps. Everybody is fast here with little differences in timing. I hope to have a nice weekend here -it's great to see a full grid for tomorrow: more riders, more noise and a big show!" MX3 qualifying group-A top-ten: 1.

The Dolna Metropolia Race track of Pleven hosted an eventful Grand Prix that attracted many SuperMoto enthusiasts from all over Bulgaria. The spectacular tarmac track was the set of a perfect weekend for Mauno Hermunen, who set the fastest time in yesterday's qualifying and also starred in today's challenges. The Finnish winner of the Bulgarian GP shared the podium with Adrien Chareyre and Ivan Lazzarini as they were second and third respectively.

The second race of the UEM European Championship belonged to a highly motivated Teo Monticelli, who is the new Championship leader. Monticelli ended the day in front of Pavel Kejmar and Alessandro Tognaccini.
S1
Mauno Hermunen disputed the second Grand Prix of the season with a very clear aim. The Finnish member of the Factory Husqvarna Team wanted to repeat the fantastic result he achieved in Pleven last year and he made it.

Despite Race 1 saw Hermunen standing on the 4th spot of the front row, he took a hard fought 4th place finish after overcoming home rider Angel Karanyotov in the final lap. Hermunen's quiet start was followed by two top results: the Finnish took the leadership in Race 2 right after the first laps moving at the head of the pack and opening a 1.326 gap over rival Adrien Chareyre and he did it again in the final one where he was 2.579 faster than the French rider of the Fast Wheels ASD Team. Hermunen is the new red plate holder and has a 7-point advantage over defending World Champion Thomas Chareyre.

The second step of the podium went to Adrien Chareyre, who had a great feeling with the Bulgarian track and clinched three brilliant 2nd positions after taking advantage from the front row start. The French Superider came home really satisfied as he jumped from the 7th place in the standings to the 4th one, and now it is easier for him taking a look at the top three.

The enthusiast crowd who attended the Grand Prix of Bulgaria also cheered the other protagonist of this action-packed day, Ivan Lazzarini. The HM Honda Racing Italian rider put his name on the Superpole and starred in the opening race as he was the first to take the chequered flag, while he grasped two 3rd places in the following ones. Lazzarini was satisfied at the end of the racing weekend as he confirmed his 3rd position in the Championship standings.

The 2010 SuperMoto World Champion Thomas Chareyre was 4th overall at the end of a tough day. After classifying with a promising 3rd position in Race 1 he crashed in the next one after the red lights blinked off and finished in 11th, while he worked his way up in Race 3 and took a hard-earned 5th spot. The youngest of the Chareyre brothers was a bit disappointed by the day as he lost the leadership in the standings, where he dropped to the runner up spot.

Many other riders drew attention to themselves at the second event of the 2011 SuperMoto FIM World Championship: PMR H2O Thierry Van Den Bosch conquered a well deserved 5th position, chased by Italian Christian Ravaglia of the Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance and the TDS Faor Slovenian Uros Nastran, while SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley was 8th.

Furthermore home hero Angel Karanyotov of the Karanyotov Sport Team was ninth, right in front of the KTM 747 Motorsport French Alexis Marie Luce.

S1 Race 1 top ten: 1.

PLEVEN (BULGARIA), 28 May 2011 – The beautiful nature surrounding the Bulgarian tarmac track of Pleven perfectly matched with the action offered by the Superiders, who faced the time practice session of the second Grand Prix of the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship. The best performance belonged to Finnish Mauno Hermunen, author of the best time of 1:23.694 on board the Husqvarna Factory Team bike. Tomorrow Hermunen will fight for the head of the Superpole with the Chareyre brothers, Thomas and Adrien, as well as with Ivan Lazzarini.

In the Open class, Teo Monticelli ended the day very satisfied after finishing at the head of the time sheets.
S1
Strong Mauno Hermunen is determined to grasp his second victory in a row here at Pleven after the 2010 success, and he demonstrated it in today's qualifying through the amazing time of 1:23.694.

Pleven is a very peculiar track among all the circuits that often host the SuperMoto World Championship, and Hermunen clearly showed he has a good feeling with it. The Husqvarna Factory Team member triumphed at the end of the time practice after being constant during all the session.

The second best time of the day went to defending World Champion Thomas Chareyre, who will try to extend his leadership in the standings in Sunday's race. The top four was rounded off by the HM Honda Racing Italian Ivan Lazzarini and he will also try to gain some positions in Sunday's challenge.

These top four riders will also have to face the Superpole tomorrow before standing on the starting grid and they came in front of home rider Angel Karanyotov of the Karanyotov Sport Team, who could be a dangerous rival as he often trains at the Pleven circuit so knows all its features. The KTM 747 Motorsport Davide Gozzini was sixth, in front of SBD Union Bike Racing Giovanni Bussei and 2010 European Champion Uros Nastran of the TDS Faor Team. Ninth spot was taken by the Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance rider Christian Ravaglia and the top ten was rounded off by SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley.

Sami Salstola faced a run of ill luck as crashed in free practice 2 and will not take part in tomorrow's race due to a broken rib.

S1 Qualifying top ten : 1. The star of the Italian GP was defending World Champion and red plate holder Thomas Chareyre, who reached the top of the podium on board the TM Factory Racing machinery. The author of three solitary races and series leader, finished in front of the Husqvarna Factory member Mauno Hermunen and the HM Honda Racing rider Ivan Lazzarini, second and third classified. The two are detaining the same positions also in the Championship standings: Hermunen has a 15-point gap from the French leader and is separated from Lazzarini thanks to an 11-point advantage. The latter should pay attention to KTM 747 Motorsport Davide Gozzini, who is only one point far from him.

Alexis Marie Luce, Gozzini's team mate, is fifth in the Championship in front of the TDS Faor rider Massimo Beltrami. Adrien Chareyre and the Fast Wheels ASD Team are in seventh position followed by the Luc 1 Honda Team rider Sylvain Bidart and Fabrizio Bartolini of the V2 Racing Team, while Thierry Van Den Bosch and the PMR H2O Team complete the top ten.

After the first race of the UEM European Championship, Italian Massimiliano Porfiri of the Freccia Team is detaining the leadership in the standings, followed by team mate Teo Monticelli. Superiders will have to positively face the tough 516-metre asphalt sky section and the 1204-metre slide. Only the most competitive will have the chance to stand on the Bulgarian podium, that last year was conquered by Mauno Hermunen, protagonist of a maiden GP. The Finnish challenger was joined by talented Thomas Chareyre and Davide Gozzini, who grasped the second and third spot respectively.

Are you curious to know who will be standing on the podium the coming weekend?

Well, on Sunday we will find out the three top riders!

A stunning Thomas Chareyre was the main protagonist of the awaited first Grand Prix of the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship, which took place today at the Busca Kart Planet. The talented French rider gave no opportunity to rivals to overcome him in fact he was the leader of all the three motos. The defending World Champion was followed by Davide Gozzini and Thierry Van Den Bosch in the first heat and by Mauno Hermunen and Massimo Beltrami in the next one. Race 3 saw the TM Factory Racing rider finishing in front of rival Hermunen and his older brother Adrien. 2010 World Champion Thomas Chareyre faced a fantastic and promising first GP of the season. The French put his best foot forward in yesterday's time practice through the fastest time of 1:21.827, and today he secured the Superpole. The member of the TM Factory Racing Team experienced a solitary Race 1 by opening a 5 second gap over rivals and collected satisfying results even in the second heat after a quick battle for the top spot with the PMR H20 rider Van Den Bosch. The French Champion was on gas in the final moto as well, where he prevailed once more after facing Hermunen.

The podium of the Grand Prix of Italy went also to the Husqvarna Factory challenger Hermunen, second overall after a prudent fifth position in Race 1 and two deserved runner up spots in the other heats. Now the Finnish is second in the World Championship, 15 points away from the leader.

The battle for the third spot overall was hard as Italians Ivan Lazzarini and Davide Gozzini battled it out to put their names on it. After Race 2 the KTM 747 Motorsport fellow was the favorite but his results, a second and 11th position in the first heats and a 5th place in the final one, did not allow him to be on the Italian podium.

On the other hand, compatriot Ivan Lazzarini made it and finished third overall after a constant recover in all the three motos. The HM Honda Racing man collected a 6th, a 5th and a 4th position so he finished in front of Gozzini. The two are divided by just one point so the battle will be on again at the next GP.

Many other challengers starred at the Busca Kart Planet. First of all the French Alexis Marie Luce, fifth overall, Massimo Beltrami who was sixth, French Adrien Chareyre and Sylvain Bidart.

The April 3rd weekend will be a crucial date marked in the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship calendar. This not-to-be-missed event will be the explosive opening to the forthcoming racing season, which will kick off from the Italian circuit of Busca.

The long winter break is over and the Superiders will immediately have an important chance to test the hard work done together with mechanics and Team. Furthermore the new campaign will see an exclusive novelty: the installation of the green fence to delimit the off-road area like in the Motocross GPs.

Taking a look at the past year, the challengers who starred throughout the 2010 campaign and pencilled their names onto the GPs' podiums were the defending World Champion Thomas Chareyre, the vice World Champion Davide Gozzini and the defending Italian Champion Ivan Lazzarini, but also the four time World Champion Thierry Van Den Bosch and Mauno Hermunen, third overall last year.

The World series will start giving a lot of thrilling moments just in few days when we will see the youngest of the Chareyre brothers, on board the TM Factory Racing Team's bike, fight hard to defend his title from pretender Gozzini of the KTM 747 Motorsport Team, who will try to conquer it after having got off his TM machinery to ride the new KTM.

It will be worthy keeping an eye on the Finnish Hermunen with the Husqvarna Factory Team, while another protagonist not to be forgotten will be PMR H2O rider Van Den Bosch, leader of the SuperMoto scene several times between 2002 and 2009. Among the title contenders there will be also the seven time Italian Champion Lazzarini, supported by the HM Honda Racing Team, joined by compatriots Christian Ravaglia of the Suzuki Valente Lux Performance Team and the member of the Rigo Racing Team, Andrea Occhini.

These names belong just to few talented riders, who will take part in the new racing season but there will even be more to discover!

The Italian track of Busca, and its spectacular 220 metres sky section, will also host the begin of the UEM SuperMoto European Championship where the Slovenian Uros Nastran took the victory in the Open class last year; while the S3 leader was the Austrian Lukas Höllbacher.

The forecasts for the FIM SuperMoto World series, to be disputed throughout the 2011 season in five of the most beautiful European tracks and countries, definitely announce the new campaign will be exhilarating and highly contested as well as last year, or maybe even more, we will have to check this out. So keep connected and do not miss not even one moment of the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship and 2011 UEM SuperMoto European Championship!

The 2011 SuperMoto World and European Championships will kick off in approximately one month, and in the meantime riders and Teams are getting ready to face what will definitely be a new and breathtaking racing season.

Without any doubts, the forecasts concerning the new campaign are positive considering the fact that, despite the world wide economic turbulences and their impact on the global market, firms and Teams showed great interest in the sport.

A very significant initiative will feature the 2011 SuperMoto European Championship as the top three riders of the final standings will have the opportunity to enter the 2012 World Championship without paying the entry fee. This is a concrete sign that aims at supporting the new generations which intend to face the challenge of the more demanding S1 World Championship.

Such a chance also represents an important project to support those riders who experienced the European adventure of the SuperMoto and who are willing to take part in the prestigious World series without having to pay the entry fee. This will be an exclusive occasion not to be missed and which will surely bring great opportunities to those who will benefit from it.

Since Thomas Chareyre entered in the FIM S1 World Championship back in 2007, he always rounded the top five at the end of the season. Thomas Chareyre's bet for a change at the beginning of the 2010 joining 747 Motorsport TM Racing Factory team brought the World Title back to his new squad after Thierry Van Den Bosch won it last year.

Thomas Chareyre started racing the FIM SuperMoto World Championship in the S2 class back in 2004. His first Grand Prix was in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, and he could only finish twelfth, while his current teammate and runner up of the 2010 World Championship Gozzini won the first round of the season. In 2007 Thomas Chareyre moved to the S1 class and his results improved notoriously finishing third in his first year in the new category and helping his country to be at the top of the podium in the FIM SuperMoto of Nations of that year. Later on he continued showing his potential in the series finishing fourth and second respectively the following years and this 2010 season has been a turning point in his career as he changed his inseparable Husqvarna for his new TM machine. On board of his new TM Chareyre has conquered the SuperMoto of Nations together with VDB and Grelier and has achieved his maiden World Title, second in a row for the Italian manufacturer.

THOMAS CHAREYRE'S CAREER IN THE FIM SUPERMOTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2010 FIM S1 World Champion entered the SuperMoto discipline in 2000 after racing the Motocross French championship for seven years. His SM career started in the small categories when he was just twelve years old and four years later he was already racing the FIM SM World Championship.

Thomas Chareyre did his debut in the FIM SuperMoto World series in 2004 in the S2 class on board of a Husqvarna machine. His beginnings in the Championship were not outstanding and most of the times he just rounded the top ten during the whole season. He finally finished 14th of the S2 class, while his current teammate Gozzini managed to be third in the point standings.

The following year the results were quite similar and Thomas Chareyre ended 12th at the end of the season. However, the French impressed some Superiders when he won the second heat of the Mediterranean GP and finished second behind his brother Adrien in the last Grand Prix of the season. Thomas Chareyre also represented his country in the UEM SuperMoto of European Nations during the same year, and helped his teammates to conquer the Trophy.

After such a great ending of the year, Thomas Chareyre expected to have an excellent 2006 season and try to fight for the top three places of the Championship. However, the French young man could not take part in three out of the eight Grand Prix that season because he broke his arm during a race in the French SM Championship. Thomas Chareyre raced the last Grand Prix of the year and finished 14th of the Championship while his compatriot VDB obtained his third World Title.

In 2007 Thomas Chareyre decided to change categories and he adapted his Husqvarna machine to enter the S1 class. The French succeeded in winning two Grand Prix and ended third in the Championship behind VDB and his brother Adrien, who won his first World Title that year. Besides, Thomas Chareyre took part in the FIM SuperMoto of Nations and helped his country to be at the very top of the rostrum.

The following year Thomas Chareyre joined Team Husqvarna CH Racing but could not improve his third position in the Championship and finished fourth. At the end of the season the French got two consecutive Grand Prix victories but they were not enough to finish among the top three best riders of the 2008 season.

In 2009 Thomas Chareyre showed that he was ready to be proclaimed World Champion dominating four out of the seven Grand Prix's of the season. Unfortunately, the French could not take part in the Grand Prix of Great Britain due to a crash he suffered during Saturday's practice sessions. Thomas Chareyre was finally the runner up of the Championship just three points behind the 2009 FIM S1 World Champion Van Den Bosch.

Switching to TM in 2010 after racing his whole career with Husqvarna was an important challenge for Thomas Chareyre. However, after his third overall position in the first race of the season in Castelleto di Branduzzo, he was already confident with his riding and he was convinced that his TM machine was the best bike at the grid and they were the best team in the paddock.

In the second race weekend of the season in Sankt Wendel, Germany, he was the fastest in the Superpole, dominated the three races and became the new Championship leader. Before this weekend in Salou, Thomas Chareyre had declared publicly that such weekend in Sankt Wendel was one of the best moments in his professional career.

The following Grand Prix in Triscina, Sicily, was a weekend to forget. Thomas Chareyre finished out of the podium due to a DNF in race one as he had a problem with his TM machine. However, he dominated the second and the third race and he finally ended fourth overall, while his teammate Gozzini got his first GP victory of the season and took the leadership of the Championship.

Before coming to Salou this weekend, Thomas Chareyre took back the red plate from Gozzini in Bulgaria after finishing second overall and the Italian being third. Both 747 Motorsport TM Racing Factory riders were tided in points in the Championship and they had to fight for the Title in the same conditions.

In the Grand Prix of Catalunya Thomas Chareyre finished in front of his teammate this weekend, so he was proclaimed the 2010 FIM S1 World Champion with just two points advantage over runner up Gozzini.

THOMAS CHAREYRE - BIOGRAPHY AND CAREER

Name and surname: Thomas Chareyre
Nationality: French
Place of birth: Ales
Date of birth (d/m/y): 18/03/1988
First GP raced: 2004, GP of Belgium, Spa Francorchamps, S2
World Titles: 1 / S1
First World Title: 2010, S1
GP wins: 9
First GP win: 2007, GP of Italy, Torino, S1
Last GP win: 2010, GP of Germany, Sankt Wendel, S1
GP podiums: 11 (3 second, 8 third)
GP heat wins: 20
